I was at this show. Jerry was clearly dying and I knew it was going to be my last show. "Throwing Stones" its clear to the crowd and Bobby that Jerry was done. Why did they try and keep going after this night?---- So,I enjoyed it for what it was. The last Dead show in NY after almost 30 years of rocking the place. Jerry was way sick and barely playing part of the show. But the rythm section was on so at least you coud dance. "Iko" and "Unbroken Chain" where nice. Great crowd responce during "Rambing Rose":. And for me the whole show cames down to "Stella Blue" and more importantly "Brokedown Palace". Jerry was obviously saying goodbye. It was over. It was beautiful

A very nice audience recording. the stella isn't great, but it is stella. Rough year, but as I listen back, I understand why I kept going. This was a great band. Even when they weren't on, they were still more on than many could ever be. Props to Bob and the boys for trying to stoke the flame. Thanks, for a real good time.

Great sound on this recording. Could only guess that a better FOB scheops would come from a DAT or better deck.
My first time seeing a few of these songs.
Happy to hear Chain even though this version is pretty weak. First Samba which I remember getting into as much as Vince would let me. This song has a much better groove than Way to go Home. And lastly my first Matilda which was pretty cool at the show but listening on tape I realize this was probably one of the worst they ever played.
Straight out folks, this show has NO fiery Jerry licks. Even in a song like Big River, Jerry doesn't lay down any inspired riffs. What the show does have is a good rendition of Ramble on Rose and the worst Stella Blue these ears have heard to date. Clearly Jer did not want to sing Stella on this night. But he did and the song suffered severely for it. Jerry certainly had an awful time of it and clearly had no direction whatsoever through this whole show. Clearly evident before Lazy River Road he is tuning for Brown-eyed Women. Where did it go?
Up until Stella this show wasn't that bad.
Highlights listed in order.
-Ramble on Rose
-Iko
-Good Morning Little School Girl
-Corrina

the space was kinda cool with Bobby getting on this catchy riff and Jerry texturizing on the "elephant".
GET THIS SHOW FOR THE SOUND QUALITY AND THE RAMBLE ON ROSE & if you like to witness Bobby trying to right the sinking ship during Stones & Lovelight.
